About the event
We warmly invite Ukrainians, friends of Ukraine, and all who stand for freedom and dignity to join us for a special community event in Exeter, marking two national Ukrainian holidays — Flag Day and Independence Day — which we will commemorate together this year, in a shared spirit of unity, remembrance, and hope.
In a time of war, these days carry powerful meaning.The blue and yellow flag has become a global emblem of courage and solidarity — and independence a daily act of resistance, strength, and faith in the future.
Event schedule:
12:00 — Gathering at Bedford Square
13:30 – 14:00 — March to the River Exe with Ukrainian flags
14:00 – 16:00 — Community picnic by the river (exact location to be announced at the rally, depending on the weather)
