We gather to mark the Day of Unity of Ukraine (officially Jan 22). Traditionally, we celebrate our nation coming together. But this year, the mood is not celebratory. We are united by a shared struggle for survival.
Ukraine is enduring its darkest hour. Relentless attacks on energy infrastructure have left millions without light, heat, or water in freezing temperatures. The news gives statistics, but we want to show the human reality.
For the Ukrainian community here in Devon, this crisis is personal. While we are physically in Exeter, our hearts are with our families who are fighting the cold right now.
