About the event

Taking place in Ukraine and abroad, the run "I Honor Warriors, I Run for the Heroes of Ukraine" is an annual patriotic tradition dedicated to commemorating the soldiers who died during the Russo-Ukrainian War. Initiated in 2018 by Oleh Durmasenko, Taisia Bratasiuk, and Dmytro Prymachenko, the run has expanded from Ukrainian regions to nearly 40 countries. It is part of the 2024 Remembrance Day events honouring Ukraine's defenders. The event is organized by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine with other state and non-state partners.

Participants can run distances of 2 km or 5 km, with the name of a fallen hero displayed on their shirt, sharing their stories with hashtags #RunningForHero_2024 and #Run2024 on social media. We welcome all of our friends, Ukrainian or not, to join us on our iteration in Devon on the 31st, with spots available both on the run team and the cheer team.
