On 24 February 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion, expecting Ukraine to surrender within days. Today, in 2026, Ukraine continues to defy the odds, remarkable in its resilience.
Behind the headlines are thousands of lives lost and millions of futures upended, yet the spirit of the Ukrainian people remains unbroken. No modern European nation has faced challenges on this scale, yet Ukraine stands firm.
This winter has brought further hardship. Ukraine continues to endure relentless missile strikes and targeted attacks on its energy grid. Families are left without light or heat in temperatures as low as -23°C.
This is a deliberate campaign of "cold terror," and our response must be one of unwavering support.
