About the event

Join United Kingdom Coffee Champion and TEDx speaker Vadym Granovskiy for an inspiring coffee talk that explores Ukrainian identity through the culture of coffee, dating back to the 17th century. This lecture offers a journey through history, culture, and personal stories from Kyiv, Lviv, London, Davos, and Istanbul. It culminates in a tasting of Vadym’s signature Flat Red coffee—a deeply symbolic flavor representing modern Ukraine.

  • Would you be surprised to learn that Ukraine was among the first European countries to embrace coffee culture and that one of Europe’s earliest coffee shops was established there?

  • Did you know a decorated Scottish figure became a pioneer of coffee culture in 17th-century Kyiv?

  • Are you aware that Ukraine’s Ministry of Culture has recognized Crimean Tatar coffee culture as part of the nation’s Intangible Cultural Heritage?
