Анімаційні майстер-класи British Art Show з Керолайн Дідс.

Пропонуємо Вам приєднатися до серії з трьох безкоштовних майстер-класів зі створення коротких анімацій Stop Motion на вашому телефоні, натхненних British Art Show. Воркшопи буде проводити художниця та режисера Керолайн Дідс.

Під час майстер-класів Ви отримаєте надзвичайний досвід, поласуєте закусками, а також зможете подивитися на British Art Show.

На кожному воркшопі буде списутній перекладач на українську мову.

Бажано, щоб Ви мали можливість відвідати всі три семінари, аби у вас був час зробити анімацію Stop Motion.

Майстер-класи для сімей – батьків та дітей старше 10 років

Перша сесія:

Субота, 12 листопада 2022 р., 11:00-13:00

Місце зустрічі: The Box, Плімутський музей і художня галерея, Tavistock Place, Plymouth PL4 8AX

Черпаючи натхнення в роботах Енді Холдена (виставлених у The Box у рамках British Art Show), групі буде запропоновано створити коротку анімацію Stop Motion за допомогою безкоштовної програми Stop Motion Studio на вашому смартфоні. Якщо у вас немає смартфона, деякі з них будуть доступні для використання.

Ви будете досліджувати наступні теми у творчості Енді Холдена: співробітництво, колекції та зв’язки між речами.

На цьому занятті Ви навчитеся користуватися додатком Stop Motion. Працювати будемо в невеликих групах по 2-3 людини - можливо, в сімейних групах. Керолайн надасть вам добірку цікавих об’єктів для використання у ваших анімаціях.

Друга сесія:

Субота, 16 листопада 2022 р., 11:00-13:00

Місце зустрічі: The Box, Плімутський музей і художня галерея, Tavistock Place, Plymouth PL4 8AX

Принесіть, будь ласка, із дому об’єкт або об’єкти, які ви хотіли б використати у своїй анімації. Яку історію ви хотіли б розповісти за допомогою своїх об’єктів і вашої анімації?

Ми розглянемо використання голосу, музики та звукових ефектів, щоб розповісти історію. І ми зробимо звукозапис для використання у вашій анімації.

Фінальна сесія:

Субота, 3 грудня 2022 р., 11:00-13:00

Місце зустрічі: Галерея KARST, 22 George Place, Plymouth PL1 3NY

Цього тижня ми будемо експериментувати з використанням наших тіл, щоб створювати живі анімації. Зустрінемося в іншому місці – арт-галереї KARST у Stonehouse.

Ми переглянемо всі створені людьми анімації та відзначимо нашу творчість! Також ми поговоримо про те, як розвивати анімацію далі, в домашніх умовах.

Також планується показ анімацій у соціальних мережах British Art Show, тому, якщо вам це цікаво, ви можете поділитися створеною вами анімацією з широкою аудиторією!

British Art Show

British Art Show – це пересувна виставка, яка відбувається кожні п’ять років. British Art Show 9 проходило у Абердін, Вулвергемптон, Манчестер і зараз триває в Плімуті до грудня 2022 року. Виставка проходить у чотирьох місцях по всьому місту: The Box, MIRROR, The Levinsky Gallery та KARST. Тема British Art Show 9 у Плімуті – міграція тіл, людей, рослин, предметів, ідей та форм. Керолайн Дідс (Caroline Deeds)

Керолайн Дідс — художниця та незалежний режисер, лауреат нагород. Спеціалізується на творчій документальній літературі, вона є лектором у Школі кіно та телебачення Фалмутського університету та запрошеним лектором у Національній школі кіно та телебачення.

Керолайн є частиною Otherfield, кінофестивалю та творчого колективу режисерів і митців, які відстоюють експериментальні та творчі форми нон-фікшн. Керолайн проводить семінари та інформаційні програми для нових кінематографістів із недостатньо представлених громад.

ANIMATING THE EVERYDAY

British Art Show Animation Workshops with Caroline Deeds

Join artist and filmmaker Caroline Deeds for a series of three free workshops making short Stop Motion animations on your phone, inspired by the British Art Show.

Refreshments will be provided and you will also be able to look at the British Art Show before or after the workshops.

At each workshop there will be an Ukrainian translator.

We would like participants to come to all three workshops, so you have time to make a Stop Motion animation.

The workshops are aimed at families - parents and their children (over 10 years old only)

First Session:

Saturday 12 November 2022, 11am-1pm

Meet at The Box, Plymouth’s Museum and Art Gallery, Tavistock Place, Plymouth PL4 8AX

Taking inspiration from the work of Andy Holden (exhibited at The Box as part of the British Art Show) the group will be invited to make a short Stop Motion animation using the Stop Motion Studio free app on your smartphone. If you don’t have a smartphone, there will be some available to use.

We will explore some of the themes in Andy Holden’s work: collaboration, collections, and connections between things.

In this session we will learn how to use the Stop Motion app. We’ll work in small groups of 2 or 3 - perhaps in family groups? Caroline will provide a selection of interesting objects for you to use in your animations.

Second Session:

Saturday 16 November 2022, 11am-1pm

The Box, Plymouth’s Museum and Art Gallery, Tavistock Place, Plymouth PL4 8AX

Bring in an object or objects, from home, that you would like to use in your animation. What story would you like to tell with your objects and your animation?

We will look at the use of voice, music and sound effects to tell a story. And we’ll do some sound recording to use in your animation.

Final Session:

Saturday 3 December 2022, 11am-1pm

KARST Gallery, 22 George Place, Plymouth PL1 3NY

This week we will experiment using our bodies to make live action animations. We will meet at a different venue - KARST art gallery in Stonehouse.

We will look at all the animations that people have made and celebrate our creativity! We will also talk about how to develop the animations further, at home.

There are also plans to show the animations on the British Art Show venues social media, so if you are interested, you can share the animation you have created with a wide audience!

The British Art Show

The British Art Show is a touring exhibition that happens every five years. British Art Show 9 has toured to Aberdeen, Wolverhampton, Manchester and is now in Plymouth until December 2022. It is at four venues across the city - The Box, MIRROR, The Levinsky Gallery and KARST. The theme of the British Art Show 9 in Plymouth is the migration of bodies, peoples, plants, objects, ideas and forms. The exhibition is free to enter.

Caroline Deeds

Caroline Deeds is an artist and award winning independent filmmaker. Specializing in creative non-fiction, she is a lecturer in the School of Film and Television at Falmouth University and a visiting lecturer at the National School of Film and Television.

Caroline is part of Otherfield, a film festival and creative collective of filmmakers and artists championing experimental and creative non-fiction forms. Caroline runs workshops and outreach programmes for emerging filmmakers from underrepresented communities.
